This second-floor, high-end bistro has imported roughly a hundred single-malt and blended whiskeys from Japan, America and Ireland and its wall shelves are packed with bottles. Completing the refined, private feeling of this place are wines, fine dining, soft lighting and music that make it excellent for eating and drinking alcohol, ideally at the same time. There is seating at tables or at bar-style tables, where anyone can sip a glass of whiskey or rum. Diners can also enjoy a bottle of wine and chat into the late evening with dishes such as Kavalan Handmade Meat Starch Soup; Garlic Squid and Shell; Salmon Roe, Shrimp and Egg Fried Rice, and other authentic Taiwanese dishes. The chef uses local seasonal vegetables to create nostalgic, flavorful meals. The abundant food mixes well with layered flavors of the many whiskey options here, including customized whiskey-based cocktails.
