Located near the Park Lane by CMP/Eslite mall, this cafe welcomes you with a dark-colored door and spiral stairway leading to a cozy second floor. The owner hand-picked all the furniture and tableware, and the fan-shaped menu and nostalgic ambiance add to the appeal of this place as a spot for lingering over some food and drinks. The Dark Brown Cocoa Pancake (NT$260) is topped with banana, nuts, chocolate paste and cocoa powder, but isn’t overly sweet with a unique texture and flavor enhanced by butter and honey served on the side. The filling Handmade Sweet and Sour Dessert (NT$120) also exudes lemon fragrances. Suitable for summertime enjoyment, teas include Taiwan’s Yue Tea, the soothing Jinxuan Oolong (NT$130) from Dong Yen Mountain, and Song Bo Ling’s Four Season Oolong (NT$120). –By Evangeline Lin Translated by Anna Yang
