Mr. Good

Mr. Good is run by a young married couple (Chiu Yu-si and his wife) who originally ran an on-line business selling their handmade golden pickled vegetables and fruit- flavored radishes. However, they’ve now made their dreams come true with their own eatery. The cozy interior has limited seating but is comfortable and doesn’t feel crowded. Mr. Chiu, who gained lots of cooking experience working at a Shanxi restaurant, now serves excellent cuisine from his own kitchen with filling, home-style dishes that can be upgraded to a set meal (add NT$80) with two side dishes, soup, a drink and a bowl of rice. Families can order 2-3 courses, including stir-fried items, and the chef recommends Mei Lin Pork Ribs, Kung Pao Chicken, Stewed Crab Paste and Meatballs, and the spicy Pepper Chili Chicken. Food is fresh-made to order to ensure the best flavors so customers often wait for a table. Take-out meals are also available. By Eric Hsieh Translated by Anna Yang
