E-Power is an unmistakable presence, with its creative architecture and large dome, located just behind Tiger City mall. Scheduled to soft-open on March 8, this large, 3,000-ping complex is the first of the kind on the island, joining four separate establishments–a disco, bar and restaurant, cafe, and members-only club and lounge–into one. The big dome houses the medium-size E-Power disco, which can comfortably fit about 500, has a sky-painted ceiling, a very long bar, two DJ booths, the latest sound and lighting effects, and an upstairs balcony area. Patrons wanting to chill out a bit can head to the adjacent M-Bar, which has outdoor and indoor seating for hundreds, with two levels, a big attractive main bar and a couple of satellite bars, and nightly live bands from 7 pm on. Next door is HIDO Cafe/Teahouse, which also has an upstairs Internet cafe area. Both bar and cafe serve food, with an Indian guest chef cooking up dishes from the end of March. The BOBO club is targeted at a variety of professionals and features a classy ambiance, a selection of 40 foreign-language magazines and other pluses. There is plenty of parking, either in the basement or outdoor lot next door.
