From our archives, Compass Magazine, Mar. 2002:
The opening of this very big store and the U2 3C outlet (see listing below) is making the E Power Center (ex-Top Mall) a significant competitor for the NOVA information/computer mall next door. With 1,600 pings of space, Chao Ping claims to be the “country’s largest American-style computer store” and certainly has a huge selection of computer and information-related products. This includes software, manuals, printers, digital cameras, PDAs, games, VCDs and DVDs, audio speakers, mice, keyboards and, of course, plenty of computers. Many discounts are offered–just check out the store’s promotional flyers. With the city’s biggest parking tower located upstairs, finding a space for your car isn’t a problem and there’s a McDonald’s, KFC and Mercury beef noodle restaurant in the same building.
