This evening hang-out offers refined dining delicacies and alcoholic options to customers, many who enjoy the new late-night hours here. Chef Chen Guan-ting, who worked at Sydney’s Quay Restaurant, uses his experience to prepare international-standard fine dining fare that can be savored in the enjoyable bistro-style atmosphere. This combination means that you can really relax and take a load off while sampling a main course, appetizer and perhaps some wine on a comfortable couch.
The recently-promoted, spicy Clam Vermicelli (NT$80) is top pick for winter and made with fresh clams and soft vermicelli that absorb a vegetable broth. A good pairing with this meal are cooling glasses of Italy’s Villa Santi Sparkling Wine (NT$699 for all-you-can-drink), infused with green apple flavors and Asiatic Wormwood (similar to sagebrush) fragrances. Another dish, Shepherd’s Pie (NT$350), is prepared with oregano and bay leaf seasoned chicken thigh meat, topped with creamy mashed potatoes and cream that melts in your mouth.
