This establishment, combining dining and extreme sports, is run by five young men who enjoy skateboarding. Owner Liean Cheng built a standard skateboarding pool on the premises to make this a one-of-a-kind Taichung hangout. When patrons aren’t getting exercise and showing off their skateboarding skills, they can also enjoy the unique grilled, top-quality kebabs, made with ingredients that the chef buys daily in the market. There are a variety of these skewered treats and unique sauce flavors. Menu items include Grilled Beef Rib Finger (NT$120); the fragrant, succulent US Dallas Steak (NT$270); the savory, buttery Chicken Thigh with Fish Roe (NT$90 per skewer), prepared with fish roe and mayonnaise; and Satay Chicken Skewers (NT$90), made with a Southeast Asian-style curry sauce. Beef, pork, chicken, seafood and vegetable items are all available, as are soft drinks, juices and beers. As winter arrives, the owner also provides free warm chicken soup.
