Wanderlust Bean Project

This Polish restaurant was launched this summer by Hong Konger Evie and Bart, a native of Poland who loves to travel. The couple met while on an Australian working holiday and later visited Bart’s Polish hometown. There they learned many traditional dishes in preparation for opening this establishment, with the goal of introducing excellent Polish cuisine to Taichung. Recommended dishes here are Polish Sausage and Meatball (NT$100 a la carte; added cost for set meal) and the Pierogi-Polish Dumpling (NT$100). These refined entrees are healthy and not overly-flavored. The owners also offer their favorite street food, the Zapiekanka Sandwich (NT$150), as well as many homemade sparkling drinks (NT$50), specialty coffees and handmade desserts. Seating is limited so reservations are requested. In another effort to promote Polish delicacies, the owners have a food stall at Shengji New Village on weekends.
