Opened by the trio of Minnesotans who run The Uptowner, this American-style sports bar directly opposite SOGO is a big, much-needed addition to Taichung’s nightlife scene. Customers can watch a variety of live sports on multiple screens, play pool or darts, and enjoy food and drinks on the spacious first and second floors, both equipped with bars offering six on-tap beers (NT$140-190), from Guinness to Taihu craft beers, a dozen bottled beers (from NT$120), cocktails and other alcohol. Daily 6-9 p.m. Happy Hours offer NT$100 drink specials and free pool games and each day features something special, from “Birthday Tuesdays” and Wednesday Ladies Nights to DJs and live music.
