Dario and his Sicilian friend and chef have opened this traditional eatery serving authentic Sicilian cooking. As many diners may be familiar with this kind of food, Dario has opted to focus on authentic Sicilian cuisine made with mostly-imported ingredients and spices.
Pasta Al Ragu Alla Bolognese (NT$230) is flavorful but not cloying, prepared with basil paste, cherry tomatoes, deep-fried eggplant and cheese, while Pasta Con Salsa Al Tartufo E Scaglie Di Parmigiano (NT$280) is a simple, yet high-quality, dish. The traditional Sicilian dessert, cannoli, is made with deep-fried dough, wrapped around ricotta and dried fruit stuffing for a crispy, rich treat available in six flavors, such as Pistachio, Strawberry, Cream with Almond Slices (NT$99-129).
The classic Arancini (NT$99-129 each), resembling Taiwan’s deep-fried rice balls, is a rarely-seen snack made with flavored risotto and features the options of cheese, ground meat sauce, smoked salmon, broiled chicken, beef, and spiced vegetables. These sizzling, deep-fried delicacies are aromatic and satisfying. You also won’t want to miss the Tiramisu (NT$129), prepared with ladyfingers and mascarpone. If you’re thirsty, various drinks, including beer, are sold in this exceptional eatery.
