This cozy Italian restaurant, hidden in the lively neighborhood around China Medical University, is situated in a renovated house surrounded by a small yard (where diners can also sit). The second floor is decorated with travel photos taken by husband-and-wife owners Jolina and Shane, who studied cooking in Australia and prepare fresh dishes made with pesticide-free veggies and Gallo olive oil. A top choice here is Calzone (NT$260/390), a crispy, yet chewy, baked dough stuffed with handmade Romano-style sauce. As you cut it open, the aroma from the rich filling of mozzarella cheese, smoked bacon and Italian sausage fills the air. Another must-try is the creamy, flavorful Butter Prawn with White Wine Pasta (NT$320), made with fresh, tender shrimp and Barilla brand spaghetti. The handmade Vanilla Panna Cotta (NT$35) offers a rich milky flavor that melts in the mouth and is garnished with a wafer roll. –By Ariel Ke Translated by Anna Yang
