Super Disco

One of the larger discos to open in Taichung for some time, Super Disco is located in the Golden Plaza Department Store building, a few floors beneath the UFO Revolving Restaurant. With 800 pings of space, Super can accomodate up to 2,000 people. The cavernous interior, decorated with flame motifs, features a large neon-lit oval bar, rows of large C-shaped table booths, dozens of smaller tables and chairs, and a good-sized stage for nightly live band performances (starting about 10:50 p.m.). Music tends towards hip-hop and R&B before 2 a.m., changing to house/techno/trance afterwards. There are also 17 fully-equipped KTV rooms, holding from 10 to 80 people each (NT$3,000-NT$6,000/five hours after midnight), off of the disco area. Normal cover charge is NT$200/person. Students with IDs get in free on Mondays, Thursday is Ladies Night, and Wednesdays are namecard nights (get in free with your namecard) through November.
