Near a tranquil street corner, a tree-shaded, half-century-old building is bathed in sunshine. This old house, owned by a lovely young couple, displays all kinds of knickknacks collected from Taiwan, Japan and other countries–all part of memories from their life journey. This daily necessities shop was opened by the owners as a reminder to enjoy a slower pace of living. They have decorated it to resemble a home, with the female owner’s unique tastes in collectables on display in every corner, from the kitchen to dining table. Besides the adorable collections, the most attractive element here is the owners’ habit of greeting customers like friends and sometimes treating them to tea. –By Helen Young Translated by Anna Yang
