Ganga Indian Kitchen

Five years after opening its first popular Indian restaurant, Ganga now has a second Beitun District branch a few meters off of ChongDe Road, Sec. 2. This cozy eatery, attractively decorated with vibrant colors and photos, seats 33 inside and outside and features the same food offerings—prepared by an experienced Indian chef—as the original branch. The lengthy menu has vegetarian, paneer (cottage cheese), mushroom, chicken, mutton, beef and seafood main courses (NT$200-290), including favorites like Mutton Rogan Josh with a tomato yogurt gravy; Beef Faladi, highlighted with chopped spinach and a spicier gravy; Butter Chicken; and the spicier Mutton Jalfrezi (spiciness can be adjusted on all dishes). A best-seller is the all-you-can-eat/drink Friday-Sunday NT$399 Indian buffet dinner, with 11 different main dishes, two salads, rice, nan bread, lassi yogurt beverage, milk tea and soft drinks. There are also two and five person (NT$790/NT$1,880) Thali lunch/dinner set meals, plus a NT$199 weekday lunch special with a curry option, rice, nan, and drink.
