This organization’s focus and efforts are directed toward needy families and children as it provides them with opportunities to learn essential life skills. TSWA’s sisterhood workshop, established in 2015, mainly offers middle-aged women, including single mothers, classes in making chewy, handmade steamed buns with naturally-fermented flour and no unhealthy additive ingredients. These buns (NT$10-25) are sold in 10 flavors such as Nut and Cheese, Sesame, Matcha, Red Bean, and Cocoa (provided by a Nantou-based organic farm). Handmade radish cakes are also available via phone or online order and shipped to customers. Other TSWA efforts include the establishment of a food bank that relies on donations from individuals and companies. Food stamps are offered to qualified needy recipients and used to purchase daily-living products from TSWA’s grocery store.
