Vegetarian and other customers seeking meat-free, yet tasty, meals will be sated by the dishes offered at this new eatery, which serves meatless western-style cuisine without compromising flavors. One such dish is the pesto-based Pasta of Mushroom (NT$250). Its sauce is made without garlic but retains the expected intense aroma and taste of pine nuts, fresh basil and olive oil. Another signature dish is Roast Hericium Steak (NT$450), whose main ingredient is a monkey-head-shaped mushroom favored by Taiwanese foodies for its chewy texture and medicinal value. It is painstakingly marinated for hours, cooked and served with a steak-like presentation. For customers preferring uncooked options, five types of Farmer Salad (NT$90-220) are offered. According to owner Mr. Chen, the organic lettuce used in the salads is grown hydroponically and safe for raw consumption. –By Judy Tan Lee Choo Translated by Candy Chang
